The NC Select plant promotion program is designed to help North Carolina greenhouse growers provide high quality plants to consumers. The plants selected for the list are a tried and true collection which performs well under North Carolina conditions. Success for your gardening customers means long term success for your business and the green industry.

The program includes the option for you to obtain Point of Purchase promotional material. There are 2 types of kits and an option to purchase a large banner separately, so the program is designed for any budget.

Businesses who buy the NC Select promotional material by March 1 will receive complimentary pot labels and are then eligible for a cooperative advertising matching grants (details on website).

The program will be advertised in the Carolina Gardener.

Coop Advertising of the NC Select Program.

For operations who elect to participate in the Point of Purchase (POP) program for NC Selects, they are eligible for matching cooperative advertising funds in 2012.  To get included for consideration, please check the appropriate box when purchasing the POP material.

Steps:

  • Be a NCCFGA member and purchase the POP material.
  • Check the box that you want to be considered for the coop advertising program when you purchase your POP material.
  • After the deadline, you will be notified if you have been selected and the amount available.
  • Once selected, set up your outside advertising utilizing both the NC Select and Got To Be NC logos.  (The logos will be emailed to you.)
  • For reimbursement, you must submit a copy of the ad and a receipt from the vendor (newspaper, radio, etc).  The funds are for purchased advertisements and not creating in-house sales materials.
